  1. After I took several classes, I considered that Geography is the important thing reason to influence the life of people who live in that area. In other words, History is pushed, changed, improved and developed by Geography, isn’t it. Everything connects with Geography. For instance, climate, weather, economy, the life of people, population, harvest, religion, government and wars. The shape of the area and location can effect the monsoon which can control the climate and weather. If the weather is good for people to exist or live, there are more and more people settle. In addition, river basin, one thing about geography, effects the soil that the important resource for people to farm. The population will increase if it is good to farm and have abundant food to feed the people. The people will be appreciate the gods who give them the good environments and abundant food. They start praying and believing in. The governments are formed to manage people when a lot of people move in. The shape of landforms could bring up the wars because it is easy to invade if the mountains are not too high to get in or the landforms are not too complicated to find the directions.
I live in Taichung, a big city in Taiwan. There are a lot of advantages like what I just talked about. That is the reason why it can be a big city. Finally, there are a lot of people live in my city because we don’t have to worry about the food or the weather.

  2. The History of the World is largely related to our lives. Especially for me, many events in the world history influenced my life. The movies made out of historic events were pretty impressive to me. The history classes so far have taught me many things. For example, The second world war taught me how the war is like and the most important fact that the history of war is the history of the human being. In our class, the geographic effects in early civilization made me think that the history could be human history supported by geography. I had lived in a small cit near the East Sea in Korea. The city was really desolated because the big mountains surrounded the city. Also the city was near North Korea. There were many people who live in North Korea before 6.25 Korean War. The geographical features affected the economy, and society of the city. The people were not so rich, but because there were many natural places which are pretty famous, and beaches, many people from other regions came the the city. Finally the city was pretty improved. I lived in that city for about 13 years. I could actually enjoy a bit of city culture.
